Project Overview:

The project aims to economically empower agricultural women in Pakistan by enhancing their livelihoods, increasing their access to markets and financial services, and promoting their resilience to climate change and other external shocks.

Project Objectives:

1. Improve agricultural productivity and income: Enhance agricultural women’s access to improved agricultural technologies, training, and extension services to increase their productivity and income.
2. Increase access to markets and financial services: Support agricultural women to access markets, financial services, and other business development opportunities to increase their income and economic empowerment.
3. Promote resilience to climate change and other external shocks: Enhance agricultural women’s resilience to climate change and other external shocks by promoting climate-resilient agricultural practices, providing access to climate information and early warning systems, and supporting disaster risk reduction and management initiatives.
4. Empower agricultural women through leadership and advocacy: Support agricultural women to take on leadership roles and advocate for their rights and interests, including access to land, credit, and other resources.

Methodology:

1. Baseline survey and needs assessment: Conduct a baseline survey and needs assessment to identify the target group’s needs, constraints, and opportunities.
2. Training and capacity building: Provide training and capacity-building programs for agricultural women on improved agricultural technologies, business management, and leadership.
3. Access to markets and financial services: Support agricultural women to access markets, financial services, and other business development opportunities.
4. Climate-resilient agriculture and disaster risk reduction: Promote climate-resilient agricultural practices and support disaster risk reduction and management initiatives.
5. Monitoring and evaluation: Establish a monitoring and evaluation system to track progress, identify challenges, and make adjustments to the project.

Expected Outcomes:

1. Improved agricultural productivity and income: Agricultural women’s productivity and income will increase by at least 20%.
2. Increased access to markets and financial services: At least 50% of agricultural women will have access to markets and financial services.
3. Enhanced resilience to climate change and other external shocks: Agricultural women’s resilience to climate change and other external shocks will be enhanced through climate-resilient agricultural practices and disaster risk reduction and management initiatives.
4. Empowerment of agricultural women: Agricultural women will be empowered through leadership and advocacy training, and will take on leadership roles in their communities.

Project Timeline:
The project will be implemented over a period of 24 months.

Project Budget:
The total budget for the project is $500,000.
