This 24-month project aims to develop and implement emergency response plans that address the unique health needs of women in disaster-prone areas.
Objectives
1. Conduct a comprehensive assessment of women’s health needs in disaster-prone areas.
2. Develop gender-sensitive emergency response plans.
3. Build capacity of healthcare providers and emergency responders.
4. Enhance community resilience through women’s empowerment.
Methodology
1. Literature review and stakeholder analysis.
2. Surveys, focus groups, and interviews with women, healthcare providers, and emergency responders.
3. Development of emergency response plans.
4. Training and capacity-building programs.
5. Pilot testing and evaluation.
