Project Overview:
“Empowering Women to Address Climate Change” aims to strengthen women’s leadership in climate change mitigation and adaptation efforts. This 18-month project will enhance women’s capacity to address climate change through training, advocacy, and community-based initiatives.
Objectives:
1. Build capacity of 500 women leaders in climate change mitigation and adaptation.
2. Establish a network of women climate leaders for knowledge sharing and advocacy.
3. Support community-led climate initiatives, focusing on renewable energy and sustainable agriculture.
4. Influence climate policy through women’s perspectives and recommendations.
Methodology:
1. Training and Capacity Building: Workshops, mentorship programs, and online courses.
2. Networking and Collaboration: Conferences, webinars, and social media platforms.
3. Community Initiatives: Seed funding for women-led climate projects.
4. Advocacy and Policy Engagement: Research, policy briefs, and stakeholder engagement.
Expected Outcomes:
1. Increased women’s participation in climate decision-making.
2. Enhanced climate resilience in targeted communities.
3. Improved access to climate information and resources.
