Product Description
Objective: To educate farmers on organic farming methods, enabling them to tap into the lucrative organic market and improve their livelihoods.
Target Group: Smallholder farmers
Location: District Sargodha
Duration: 18 months
Activities:
1. Training and Capacity Building: Conduct workshops and training sessions on organic farming practices, soil management, and integrated pest management.
2. Demonstration Plots: Establish demonstration plots to showcase organic farming methods and provide hands-on training.
3. Soil Testing and Analysis: Conduct soil tests to determine nutrient levels and provide recommendations for improvement.
4. Organic Certification: Assist farmers in obtaining organic certification to access the organic market.
5. Market Access: Facilitate market access for farmers to sell their organic produce at competitive prices.
Expected Outcomes:
1. Increased Income: Farmers will increase their income through organic produce sales.
2. Improved Soil Health: Farmers will adopt sustainable soil management practices, improving soil health.
3. Reduced Chemical Use: Farmers will reduce their use of chemical fertilizers and pesticides.
