Product Description
Objective:
To enhance the resilience of vulnerable communities to climate change impacts through adaptive measures, capacity building, and economic empowerment.
Target Group: Vulnerable communities, including:
1. Low-income households
2. Small-scale farmers
3. Indigenous peoples
4. Women-headed households
5. Communities with limited access to resources and services
Components:
1. Climate Risk Assessment: Identify climate-related hazards and vulnerabilities in target communities.
2. Adaptation Measures: Implement climate-resilient infrastructure, agricultural practices, and water management systems.
3. Capacity Building: Provide training and capacity building on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable livelihoods.
4. Economic Empowerment: Support income-generating activities, microfinance, and entrepreneurship development.
5. Community Engagement: Foster community participation, awareness, and ownership of climate adaptation initiatives.
Activities:
1. Conduct climate risk assessments and community vulnerability mapping
2. Implement climate-resilient infrastructure (e.g., sea walls, green roofs)
3. Promote climate-smart agriculture practices (e.g., agroforestry, conservation agriculture)
4. Establish community-based early warning systems and emergency preparedness plans
5. Provide training and capacity building on climate change adaptation, disaster risk reduction, and sustainable livelihoods
6. Support income-generating activities (e.g., microfinance, entrepreneurship development)
7. Establish community-led climate adaptation funds
Expected Outcomes:
